Are You Confused 🤔 – What You Should Want?

Understanding Your True Desires 🌟

If you find yourself unsure of what you truly desire, the concept of setting goals may cause you frustration and distress. Without a clear understanding of your purpose, conflicts regarding goals are bound to occur. Having a clear purpose simplifies and focuses the process of setting goals. By identifying the purpose of your life, much of the conflict surrounding goal setting is eliminated, and you are empowered to choose goals that align with your purpose, rather than ones based on societal expectations.

Consciously vs. Unconsciously Chosen Goals 🧠

Everyone has goals, whether consciously or unconsciously chosen. Some individuals consciously select goals that maximize satisfaction, self-expression, wealth, or a combination of important values. Taking responsibility for your results will help you recognize that even the challenging aspects of your current situation were created in the past through unconsciously chosen goals. Others settle for preprogrammed goals that they have adopted from their personal history, resulting in outcomes that differ from their conscious intentions.

The Role of Motivation and the Baseball Technique

Goals naturally flow as an expression of your purpose in a mental hierarchy, influenced by both conscious choice and unconscious programming. If you have not consciously chosen your purpose, then your unconsciously inherited purpose is likely to conflict with your consciously chosen goals. Motivation also plays a significant role. If you have experienced conflicts or resistance in achieving consciously chosen goals in the past, overreliance on moving-away motivation may be the underlying issue. Relying too heavily on external events can hinder your ability to respond to internally generated goals and desires. Consistently using the Baseball technique can help address this.

Setting Meaningful Goals 🎯

Establishing a meaningful goal for yourself leads to two important and almost immediate events. For some individuals, these events may go unnoticed in the busyness of daily life. It is crucial to be aware of them and leverage them to your advantage. These two events can occur in any order. Firstly, upon setting a goal, your mind starts attracting the necessary resources to achieve it. Secondly, your mind will help you accomplish the new goal by bringing to your attention any past thoughts that oppose it.

Example: Doubling Your Income 💸

For example, if your goal is to double your income from 5 Lac per year to 10 Lac per year within the next 12 months, one event is that your mind begins generating potential ways to achieve this. Before setting the goal, you were not actively thinking about increasing your income, so why would your mind provide useful ideas? Pay attention to the people you encounter after setting a new goal; your mind naturally attracts not only ideas but also the individuals and external resources you need.

The other event is that your mind cooperates with accomplishing your goal by highlighting any thought patterns that hinder its timely achievement. Before setting the income doubling goal, your mind may have been thinking, “I have enough money to get by” or “It’s not worth the effort or risk to earn more.” These thoughts will impede your progress.

Therefore, immediately after setting your new goal, pay close attention to any objections that arise in your mind. These objections provide valuable information; your mind is essentially saying, “In the past, you instructed me to think these thoughts: ‘Rs.5 Lac is all I need to get by’ or ‘I can’t do this’ or ‘I shouldn’t desire more money.'” To achieve your new and different goal, you must change these old thought patterns. Utilize the Power Affirmations method outlined in the next chapter to transform specific limiting thoughts like these.

Balancing Creativity and Analysis 🧠🎨

Creativity and analysis are two primary functions of the conscious mind. The creative function generates new ideas, while the analytical function evaluates information and experiences to understand cause and effect.

Both functions are equally important for leading a happy and productive life. However, our educational system tends to focus primarily on developing the analytical function, so it is crucial to also cultivate reliable access to the creative function. Neglecting your creativity means living with only half of your mind engaged. Many people underestimate their own creative power because it was suppressed during their schooling. Creativity is not limited to artists, writers, and musicians; it is a skill that everyone can improve.

Our creative potential is vast, even though we typically use only a small portion of it. If you can recall any of your dreams, it gives you a glimpse of your existing creativity. The key is not how much creativity you possess but rather whether you can access it and express it effectively. Dreams can be seen as manifestations of images and ideas from the unconscious mind during sleep. By learning to access the same creative function while awake, you can tap into your creativity.

Conclusion: Embrace Your Full Potential 🌟

Unlocking your true potential involves understanding your purpose, setting meaningful goals, and harnessing your creativity. By doing so, you can lead a happier, more productive life and achieve the success you desire.
